This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.Compensation Consultant - AAA/The Auto Club Group What you will do: Reports to: Director & aboveProvide advice and guidance on compensation practices across the organization. This individual will work with HR business partners, department heads, and leadership to ensure that the company's compensation programs support its business objectives, remain competitive, and comply with legal standards. Function as a subject matter expert on compensation trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. Evaluate and analyze existing compensation structures, conduct market analysis, support pay equity efforts, and advise on compensation-related decisions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Consult with management to identify and resolve compensation-related issues, assist in corporate restructuring efforts, participate in the review of and support the development and implementation of Compensation programs, etc.
  • Perform job evaluations to determine appropriate salary ranges and classifications
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure the organization's pay structures are competitive
  • Analyze compensation data and provide actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Support annual compensation review processes, including salary increases, incentive programs, and performance-based pay adjustments.
  • In partnership with team, support, maintain, update, and enhance the company's compensation programs, including base salary, bonus, and other variable compensation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Coordinate and function as project leader to facilitate the completion of projects and assumes a lead role with Compensation staff when necessary.
  • Participate in/support the development, implementation, and administration of various corporate compensation programs (e.g., base salary, incentive, variable and bonus plans).
  • Prepare cost, benefit and breakeven analyses and develop recommendations for management.
  • Provide consultation and recommendations to Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and management on compensation-related matters, including salary offers, promotions, and pay adjustments.
  • Develop compensation strategies that align with business goals, support talent attraction and retention, and ensure internal equity.
  • Collaborate with HR teams on projects as needed
  • Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and presentations
  • Participate in compensation surveys to gather market data and insights
  • Process job, pay, plan and other compensation-related transactions with assigned HR system, to include plan administration
  • Support special compensation projects such as mergers and acquisitions, compensation harmonization, policy/program evaluations and new market entry
  • Maintain an awareness of proposed legislation (state and federal), local and national compensation trends, Consumer Price Index, inflation statistics, etc. Provide policy interpretation and advises company personnel on a variety of Compensation related issues.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneHow you will benefit:

          • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related fieldExperience:Five years of compensation experience to include:
            • Client consultation
            • Partnerships with internal HR/corporate and external partners
            • Job creations and evaluation
            • Pay grade determination
            • Compensation Survey participation
            • Comprehensive pay analysis to include compression, pay equity, etc.
            • Design, implementation and/or administration/support of:
            • Base pay compensation programs
            • Bonus/variable incentive plans
            • Operating/administration of HRIS systems, compensation software, market pricing tools and standard business software packages
            • Understanding & interpreting compensation-related regulations and corporate policies
            • Analysis of statistical data and problem solving
            • Development of compensation procedures and guidelines
            • Coordination of projects or functions
            • Development of electronic spreadsheets and presentations
            • Problem identification and resolutionExtensive Knowledge of:
              • Compensation principles
              • Federal and State guidelines and regulations related to compensation, including the Fair Labor Standards Act
              • Benchmarking, market analysis and related compensation functions and methodologies
              • Compensation-related statistical analysis techniques
              • Compensation-related government regulations (e.g., Equal Pay Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, etc)
              • Job documentation, analysis, and evaluation methodologiesSkillset:
                • Compensation analytic skills
                • Strong quantitative analysis with precise attention to detail and ability to interpret/present data
                • Critical thinking skills to include assessing compensation issues and developing solutions that align with business goals and requirements
