*Job Overview*Supports the licensed healthcare team members in the provision of patient care to include direct patient care, providing healthcare information to patients/families, and following established plan of care. All patient care activities are undertaken with the delegation/supervision of a licensed professional in accordance with VUMC standards and licensure regulations.*POSITION HOURS*Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM*DEPARTMENT SUMMARY*Monroe Carell is one of the nation's leading children's hospitals, and the largest in the Southeast. Our pioneering research and innovation in pediatric health care bring the latest treatments to our hospital and 22 regional and affiliated clinics.*Our Pediatric Outpatient Clinics include:** A variety of specialties:* Urology* Orthopaedics* Heart Institute* Medical Specialties (Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Spina Bifida)* Diabetes* Speech Pathology, Craniofacial & Ear, Nose & Throat* General Surgery* Primary Care* Neurology, Genetics, Pain & Plastic Surgery* Complex Care, Cystic Fibrosis, GI, Nephrology, Transplant & Pulmonary* Developmental Medicine* A variety of locations:* Nashville - Main Campus* Nashville - One Hundred Oaks* Franklin* Hendersonville* Cookeville* Clarksville* Lebanon* Murfreesboro* Smyrna* Jackson* Spring Hill* Tullahoma*Responsibilities** Collaborates with patients/families and health care providers in the delivery of health care services.* Partners with the healthcare team by following established plan of care to ensure patient progress for effective outcomes.* Support plans to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.*Requirements** Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).* Experience or training with pediatric patients preferred.* Proficient in venipuncture techniques and other nursing procedures.* Knowledge of pain management practices, including acute pain management protocols.* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.* Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.* Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts and patient needs.Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients by providing exceptional nursing care.
