Technician is responsible for assisting in direct patient care
specific to the unit assigned; assisting with patient transfers and
repositioning, transporting of patients, supplies, or specimens;
and any other duties as deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient
care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of
the professional nurse. The Patient Care Technician is responsible
to the Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse,
Clinical Supervisor, Department Manager/Director, Nursing
Supervisor, Associate Directors of Nursing Services and the Chief

for full-time positions.Unit details: On this 29-bed Med Surg unit,
you will care for adult patients 18 and above who are being treated
for COPD, CHF, acute respiratory failure, pneumonia, COVID,
cellulitis, orthopedic surgeries, GI complications, and much
more.Shift details: Nights 6:45 pm - 7:15 am. Rotating weekends and
holidays.Mandatory Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and one
of the three below:
- Certification: Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide
Training Program, (the certification is not mandatory, but a
certificate of completion is necessary) or
- Experience: Minimum of six months of previous experience as a
care partner or nursing assistant/technician or
- Education: Current enrollment in a program of professional
nursing LPN or RN and successful completion of the first semester
of nursing school to include nursing fundamentals.Preferred
Qualifications:

- Provides patient care based upon the nursing process in
accordance with the hospitals mission & vision, as directed and
observed by the RN/LPN.

co-workers.
- Compliance with organizational requirements, including
policies, procedures and regulations specific to the unit.

prevention / transmission of infectious disease / isolation
processes.
