Vanderbilt Health is committed to an environment where everyone has the chance to thrive and where your uniqueness is sought and celebrated.Job Summary:Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.Position Hours:Three (3) 12-hour shifts from 6:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m., rotating based on unit need. No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.Department Summary:We care for adult patients 18 and older who are being treated for a variety of conditions, including patients undergoing vascular surgeries pre- and post-op, arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, and patients pre-open heart surgery.Sign-On Bonus Requirements:The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current full-time VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The sign-on bonus is only available for full-time positions. Trainee positions do not qualify for a sign-on bonus.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Facilitate efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
• Serve as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
• Support unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.

  • Clinical Competencies (Novice): Demonstrates competence with interventions in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Care Partner Patient Documentation (Novice): Independently works with clinical applications for patient documentation.
  • Environment of Care (Novice): Demonstrates ability to set up and maintain patient rooms, supplies, and equipment.
