• Employment Type: Travel Hospital: Centennial Medical Center Location: Nashville, TN Address: 2300 Patterson St. Nashville, TN 37203 Unit Name: CVICU Building: Tower Cost Center: 653/64125 General Information Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds : 16 · Patient Ratios : 1:2, 1:1 for certain device patients · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Free floating charge nurse to assist staff. Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech M-F 0730-1530. Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts that assist nurses by performing tech duties. · Type of equipment : Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: 2 weekends/month, 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4 th , Labor Day), 2 Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) · Floating policy: C/L employees float as needed, typically to other ICU's but can include other floors. · Patient Experience requirements: None specific Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: BLS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience Advanced skills needed: Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required, preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT. Procedures performed on unit: Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS. Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, etc. on unit. Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS Dress Code : (Required uniform) · Scrubs - black, red, or galaxy blue, scrub jackets/vests only Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. · See Attached Awards/Recognition: Please include anything that you would like prospective candidates to be aware of, such as, links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards.. · HCA Unit of Distinction Award Winner · Daisy Award Recipient Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. · 16 bed CVICU with 5 full time surgeons performing high volume and advanced cardiac surgeries.
