    • Job Requirements
    • Must have: Acute Care strong nursing skills and time management.
    • Neuro stepdown, I would like stepdown experience.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
    • Procedures performed on unit: The most common are lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.
      • Schedule Information
      • Scheduling requirements: This depends on schedule, Weekends shifts are required.
      • Floating policy: Experienced nurses can float after orientation.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Number of Beds: 30 - 22 Acute Care, 8 Stepdown
        • Patient Ratios: 6:1 on Acute Care, 4:1 on Neuro stepdown
        • Unit staffing description: 1 RN Charge is over all of 10 tower, 1-2 Techs and a unit secretary.
        • Type of equipment: Acute Care side: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips. All things stroke. Neuro stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips.
        • Documentation system: Meditech
        • Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddle.
        • Dress Code: (Required uniform) 10 Tower - you can wear black, any shade blue or grey, and any color scrubs on Friday.
        • Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
