    • Job Requirements
    • Must have: Active RN license
    • ICU experience
    • Procedures performed on unit: Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions
      • Schedule Information
      • Number of Beds: 16
      • Patient Ratios: 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity/staffing
      • Scheduling requirements: Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Schedule is done in 4 week increments. Self-scheduling to an extent.
      • Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule
      • Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit staffing description: unit secretary staffed during dayshift. Occasional nurse extern working as a tech.
        • Type of equipment: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000.
        • Documentation system: Meditech
        • Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
        • Advanced skills needed
        • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
