worldwide.OverviewThe Director of Product Management plays a key
role in leading a team to drive vision and growth for SaaS and PaaS
based Product platforms including Connect, Enterprise, Professional
and Express. This is to ensure we maintain our market leading
position and provide superior user experience that delights end
user.Responsibilities
- Identifies, develops and drives product strategy and
initiatives for their team. Evaluates the potential by analyzing
market and customer needs through direct client interaction, market
research and interfacing with cross-functional teams.
- Provide oversight for multiple product owners and lead a team
of Product Managers who are responsible for market-sensing
activities to understand market requirements and deliver innovative
product solutions that provide a superior user experience.
- Work closely with Software Engineering team to drive product
development and road-map.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing for product positioning,
launch and ongoing market-facing activities.
- Lead, recruit and grow a talented product management team.
- Staying up-to-date on latest trends in HR technologies, HCM
Ecosystem and SOA based software technologies including APIs and
middleware.
- Executes departmental plans and contributes to the development
of department strategies.
- Makes decisions guided by business unit or functional
strategies that impact business unit or functional results.
- Determines, evaluates and modifies department goals to meet
current and future needs.
- Directs the allocation of resources to meet financial and
operational performance requirements. Addresses business issues
which are beyond immediate needs or where established policies may
be inadequate.
- Leverages relationships with key internal/external customers to
support business needs. Communicates highly complex ideas to
multiple organizational levels. Negotiates with customer and/or
organizational leadership to set priorities.
- Makes effective presentations to large and important groups,
makes persuasive arguments to convince key customers to take
action, and/or negotiates effective solutions between key
individuals.Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical
field required; MBA a plus.
- 12+ years of experience in market-facing, enterprise-level
product management experience.
- Experience managing and interacting with third party technology
providers through partner programs and establishing processes for
staying in coordination with new releases.
- Experience developing mission-critical enterprise software and
high-volume transaction systems. Facilitation leadership experience
as well as experience working in matrix and agile environment.
Previous experience in a customer facing role for defining software
product offering.
- Experience with Pragmatic Marketing or similar methodologies a
plus.
- Has broad business and knowledge of a specific function,
business unit or technical discipline. Has broad general knowledge
of all relevant business relationships within the company.
- Has a broad understanding of the company's businesses and other
functional groups.
- Has a broad understanding of industry issues.
- Demonstrates people leadership skills for significant
