cancer care around the world.Our Director of Strategy &
Transformation is responsible for leading, facilitating and driving
the IT strategic initiatives at SCRI. You will lead a team of
project managers to implement enterprise level initiatives to
increase growth, market share, customer & employee satisfaction,
improve business key performance indicators and to deliver on key
strategies of the organization. This role owns the intake,
governance, prioritization and budget process for the IT Portfolio
at SCRI. This requires strong analytical, influencing and change
management skills while directing multiple business areas. This
position is based in Nashville, TN at our corporate HQ.Duties
include and are not limited to:
- Directly manage team of Project Managers that are leading high
impact IT strategic initiatives across SCRI. Through leadership of
the team, deliver projects on scope, on schedule, and on budget.
Escalate awareness of risks early to keep projects on task.
- In close collaboration with AVP of Strategy and Transformation
and CIO, work to mature Program Management Office to meet SCRI
strategic objectives and imperatives; define and deliver SCRI
methodologies and implementation approaches for Strategy,
Governance, Portfolio Management, Process Improvement, Change
Management and Operational Initiatives; foster a process
improvement community within the organization to share best
practices and provide learning opportunities for colleagues.
- Partner with CIO to facilitate senior leadership in
identification, scheduling, and prioritization of strategic
initiatives. Collaborate with leaders in IT and across the business
to finalize strategic roadmaps to deliver on operational strategies
for SCRI. Maintain an ongoing dialog to ensure timely resolution of
issues, appropriate actions around risk, and overall status of
initiatives. Maintain working knowledge of status of all assigned
initiatives to serve as communication point on portfolio
status.
- Oversee the project management activities of the direct reports
to ensure they are providing excellence in managing initiatives and
coaching/teaching department resources. Provide coaching and
direction as required.
- Establish and lead high-visibility enterprise-wide,
cross-functional strategic initiatives. Lead a variety of different
types of projects including launching new products and services,
application development, systems integration, operational
efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure
upgrades and deployments. Oversees programs and program managers
who are assigned to many related projects to deliver
value.Qualifications needed include:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred and
experience may be substituted for education
- 7+ years' relevant work experience including Program Management
experience
- Work experience with Agile methodologies and Agile tools such
as Jira/Trello/Asana
- Work experience with change management and project management
techniques and tools
- Knowledgeable and experience in a research environment and in
healthcare processes
- Experience working with leadership for quick problem resolution
and staff support
- Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with
large change impact including leading large teams through major
organizational changes.Certifications preferred include:
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- PMP
- Agile Scrum Master Certification highly preferredAbout Sarah
